About This Centre

SKILS provides guide training courses around the world.

Every year we train and certify at least 200 new guides. We also provide ongoing training and professional development to over 100 certified guides every year.

Our base is in Ucluelet, Vancouver Island, on the wild west coast of British Columbia, and most of our guide training courses are in Canada.

More than a third of the participants in our guide training courses come from a country other than Canada.

We work in partnership with the best people and organizations in coastal recreation, including retailers, outfitters, schools, and manufacturers. No one offers the same diversity and depth of programs.
