About This Guide

Living on the Argyll coast, Phil has a passion for the sea, wild landscapes and an outdoors lifestyle.   In addition to being an ISKGA Guide, Phil is a BC Advanced Sea Kayak Leader, UKCC Level 2 Coach with Moderate Water Endorsement, and is working towards his UKCC Level 3 Sea Kayak Coach.

Additionally, Phil’s outdoor training includes: Mountain Leader; Rock Climbing Instructor; RYA Coastal Skipper; British Cycling Level 2 Mountain Bike Leader; and is a Rescue Emergency Care 1st Aid Instructor, as well as holding the Royal Geographic Society Off Site Safety Management Certificate.

Drawing upon twenty years of professional experience leading and coaching in remote regions all over the world, Phil can offer challenging yet safe adventure.  This can include sea kayaking, mountaineering, wild camping and coast craft, multi-activity trips, expedition and rescue skills.  Phil also runs Rescue and Emergency Care 1st Aid training, including specialist sea kayak courses, all based along the stunning coastline and mountains of Argyll.
