About This Guide
Guido, is one of four ISKGA Technical Directors and is recognised for his exceptional skill and knowledge as a professional seaman. Guido who speaks Italian, French, English and German, started sea kayaking in 1974, and has paddled along the coasts of New Zealand, the Kattegat, Skagerrak, the Solent, the Scilly Isles, the English Channel and the Bristol Channel, Sardinia, Corsica (F), Sicily, Elba and many between the smallest Italian islands.
He is the first kayaker to have single-handedly circumnavigated the Italian peninsula from Trieste to Ventimiglia (2011), without any support, covering 2009 miles over a total of 119 days, including 94 days of paddling and 25 days on shore due to bad weather conditions.
In 2012, he paddled single-handed around Sicily from Catania to Catania, covering 599 miles over 25 days of paddling (average of 24.0 miles per day), with 14 days on shore due to bad weather.
In 2013, he paddled single-handed around Sardinia from Cagliari to Cagliari covering 587 miles over 21 days of paddling (average of 28.0 miles per day), with 21 days on shore due to bad weather .

Guido holds a Sea Kayak FICK Coach, FICK Guide, FICK Maestro, FICK Maestro Assessor and FICK Paddle-Ability Maestro Certificate. He holds a BC 4 Star Leader and ISKGA Advanced Guide certificate.
